How it works
Initial assessment.
In the first session, I'll get a clear picture of where your kid is at. Their skills, their movement, their confidence, their goals.
Personalised plan.
Based on that assessment, I'll build a training plan specifically for them. Not a template. A plan that targets exactly what they need.
Focused sessions.
Each session follows the plan, with adjustments as they progress. Skill development, game-scenario drills and competitive situations that push them just beyond their comfort zone.
Parent communication.
You'll know what they're working on and how they're progressing. No guesswork.
Private training is ideal for kids who:
- Want the fastest possible improvement
- Are preparing for school, rep or state trials
- Have a specific area they want to work on (shooting, handles, confidence)
- Prefer individual attention over larger group settings
- Want to supplement what they're doing in team training
- Are just starting out and want a solid foundation before joining a group
- Want to train with friends or teammates in a focused setting

Common questions
Everything parents usually ask about private training.
Standard private sessions are 45 minutes. Most kids find this is the right length for focused work without losing concentration. We can run 60-minute sessions on request.
We work with kids aged 5 to 14. Each session is built around the individual child, so the drills, language and pace are matched to their age and ability.
We run 1-on-1 coaching at courts in Willoughby, Alexandria and Moore Park. Once you book in we will confirm the closest venue and exact court for your session.
Most parents notice a real difference within four to six sessions. Confidence usually shows up first, then ball-handling and shooting form, then game IQ. Consistency matters more than frequency.
Yes. You can book single sessions or save with a 5 or 10 session pack. Packs do not expire on a strict timeline and can be split between siblings.
Absolutely. Private coaching is one of the fastest ways for a beginner to build correct habits and confidence before joining a group. We start with the basics and make it fun.
Group sessions are kept small — usually 4 to 8 kids — so every child gets real coaching attention, not just gym time.
By age and ability. We make sure younger kids are not overwhelmed and older kids stay challenged. If you book as a friend group we can keep them together.
Group sessions run at courts in the inner west and lower north shore of Sydney. Specific venues are listed on each program page or shared at booking.
Yes. A lot of kids in our group sessions are brand new to basketball. The first few weeks focus on movement, ball-handling and confidence — no prior experience needed.
In most cases yes, especially if they are within a couple of years of each other. Get in touch and we will find a session that suits both kids.
