Ready to Get Serious About Getting Better
Basketball skills training for boys and girls aged 7 and up. Sundays in Redfern.
Your kid loves basketball. They play at school, they shoot hoops in the driveway, they watch highlights on YouTube. But they are not getting better. What they are missing is someone actually teaching them how to play.
You can see the gap growing. Their friends are joining "elite" programs and you are wondering if your kid is falling behind. But you also know that too much pressure at this age burns kids out. You don't want elite. But you want your kid to develop too.
So you are stuck. The rec league is not developing them. The elite programs feel like too much too soon. And somewhere in between there should be a coach who actually teaches your kid how to read a defence, make decisions and play the game the right way. That is what you are looking for.
What makes this different
A professional coach.
Not a parent volunteer or a uni student with a whistle. A professional coach with 5+ years experience, WWCC-cleared and first aid certified. Someone who actually knows how to develop young players.
A coaching methodology that creates results.
Every session is designed to help your kid build real skill and perform in the game, not just at practice.
12 kids max. No exceptions.
We turn bookings away to keep the ratio tight. Your child will not get lost in a crowd of 30 kids with one overwhelmed coach.

What parents are saying
Meet the coach
James has spent over five years developing young basketball players. He understands the balance this age group needs: enough challenge to grow, enough fun to keep them coming back. His focus is building complete players who think, not just react.

Common questions
What parents usually ask before booking.
Absolutely. Everything we teach in our classes is transferable to the game. Whether it is a specific skill or a small-sided game, every skills class helps your child perform better on the court, no matter the team.
Most programs either make it fun but the kids do not learn anything, or they teach real skills but it gets boring and kids lose interest. We do both. We coach high-level concepts early because kids are capable of far more than most programs give them credit for. We just deliver it in a way that is fun, engaging and pressure-free. We also cap our classes at 12 kids per coach so every child gets the attention they need.
The program is designed for exactly that. We build real basketball skills and work closely with local organisations to make sure what we teach aligns with what rep coaches are looking for. That said, making rep ultimately comes down to the desire of your child and your support as a parent. We give them the foundation.
Comfortable clothes, basketball shoes (or runners) and a water bottle. Please bring a basketball. We have a few spares but not enough for everyone.
Sessions start at 2:00pm on the dot. If you arrive late your child can jump in as best they can, but we recommend arriving a few minutes early.
Ready to see them level up?
No commitment. No pressure. Just come and see if they love it.
